Proverbs 3:1
~ "Do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart." |
| Thought: |
| "As I work with my children, memorizing scripture with them, teaching them and disciplining them I need to remember it is their heart, not just their behavior that I am after. ?I know it is only when my heart changes, that true change occurs. ?This is true for my children as well. ?Discipline has its place, but I need discernment to know when it is the heart that I need to be after." |
| Challenge: |
| "It takes a little more time to get to the heart of the matter. ?Today, I will take those extra minutes to move beyond wanting behavior changed. I will take the time it needs to get to the heart of the matter. ?I will show them what God desires from His Word and let Him get a hold of their heart." |
| Prayer: |
| "Lord, help me not to be lazy and just demand behavior changes, give me the wisdom, words, scripture, and sensitivity to get to the heart of my child." |
