Proverbs 4:1
~ "Listento a fathers instruction; pay attention and gain understanding." |
| Thought: |
| "I have to remember that I am not the only one parenting my children, and my husband is not going to parent exactly the same way I do. ?That does not mean hes doing it wrong. My children need both of our parenting styles and skills. That is Gods design. ?It is good for them to learn to adapt to different styles." |
| Challenge: |
| "When my husband steps in to parent in a situation, dont step in to help him, correct him or contradict him. ?Afterward, affirm him, especially in areas where he has done a good job, has been patient, exercised wisdom, and had self control." |
| Prayer: |
| "Lord, help me to keep my mouth shut when my husband is being a father, giving instruction or disciplining. Give me the godly humility necessary, so that I dont think my way is the only way." |
