| "It is so easy to let thoughtless words fly out of my mouth. These words tear down, they do not build up. Careless words can be so destructive and demeaning. And my desire is to build my husband and my children up." |

| "Take 3 seconds to think; ""is this helpful, does this build up or tear down"" before I let anything come out of my mouth in frustration." |

| Prayer: |
| "Lord, teach me and help me control the words that come out of my mouth. Help me each day, not to indulge in my own venting, but to speak what is useful for building others up. Lord, build the fruit of 'self-control' in my life." |
