Proverbs 9:6
~ "Wisdom has built her house [and says]; Leave your simple [minded] ways and you will live; walk in the way of understanding." |
| Thought: |
| "I can build my house as a parent, by helping my children mature in their thinking and perspective as they grow through the years. ?I do not want them to be easily swayed by the influences of the world. If I can help them mature, they will gain wisdom and understanding that will under gird them as they approach adulthood." |
| Challenge: |
| "This will take a lot of patience and dialogue; talking and listening. Maturity does not happen over night, I must have the patience, perspective and perseverance to see this through to the end. I need to discern what is just simple minded and childish thinking rather than rebellion and willful disobedience." |
| Prayer: |
| "Lord, give me all that it takes to help my children mature in their thinking and in a godly perspective. ?Help me see what appropriate expectations I should have for every age. Give me the strength and stamina necessary to stay with this for as long as necessary and not grow weary. ?And most of all, let me lead by example." |
