Proverbs 17:3
~ "The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold but the Lord tests the heart." |
| Thought: |
| "Just as the silversmith purifies his precious metals so that he may use them to make something beautiful, ?God uses our trials to purify, mature and refine us; to make our lives beautiful in His sight. I must pass this principle on to my children, because there is such hope in it. ?Nothing in our life is wasted; even trials in childhood can be used by God to build godly character into our children." |
| Challenge: |
| I must remember and see all trials as an opportunity for God to work on the transformation of my character and the character of my children. ?I must resist the temptation to rescue them from every difficulty in their life. ?I do not want to get in the way of anything that God is doing in the heart and mind of my child. |
| Prayer: |
| "Lord, give me Your eyes to see the trials and challenges of my life and the life of my children as Your opportunity to test our hearts and transform us. I need Your discernment to know when to step in and when to let them experience Your guidance and discipline. ?Once again Lord, I pray for wisdom." |
