Proverbs 18:7
~ "A fools mouth is his undoing and his lips are a snare to his soul." |
| Thought: |
| "How often I have laid awake at night, going over and over something that came flying out of my mouth, that I later deeply regretted. ?Sometimes it is impatient words with my children, sometimes a defensive statement to my husband and other times it was just something stupid or thoughtless said to a friend. ?How often my lips are my snare and undoing." |
| Challenge: |
| "To quote something my mother said to me at least 3 zillion times, Charisse, think before you speak! ?Though I know I am better at this now than I was as a child, I still need to keep this in the front of my mind. ?How easily I can speak, before I think." |
| Prayer: |
| "Oh Lord, help me to control my mouth. Teach me to exercise the fruit of self-control. Please do not let my lips be a snare to my soul or anyone elses. ?Lord, I don't want to be a fool, I want to be a woman of wisdom, please, help me to think before I speak." |
