Proverbs 26:12
~ ""Do you see a man , wise in his own eyes? ?There is more hope for a fool than for him."" |
| Thought: |
| "There is such a fine line between self-esteem, self-confidence and a self-focused life. ?We can ?build our children up and cater to them, ?to the point that they become totally self-focused. Are my children growing up thinking the world revolves around them? When we forget that all we have and all we are comes from God, we can become wise in our own eyes." |
| Challenge: |
| "God wants us to prefer others over ourselves, do to others as we would want them to do to us. God wants us to have a true estimation of who we are in Him. How do I help my children see themselves in an accurate, God focused way?" |
| Prayer: |
| "Oh Lord, give me the wisdom I need to walk that fine line; encouraging and building up my children but reminding them that everything they have ?(their talents, their strengths and their gifts) come from You and are theirs for a purpose. ?Help me to encourage the best that You have created in them and help them to see themselves and others through Your eyes." |
