Proverbs 17:1
~ "Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting with strife." |
| Thought: |
| "As a mother, I set the tone for my home. ?If I am in constant conflict with my husband, not only am I modeling what a bad marriage is like for my children, but I am modeling strife in all their important relationships. ?With Gods help and power I can lovingly choose not to engage, I can choose peace rather than pursuing my right to be right. ??I have the power to model meekness (power under control) rather that power and aggression in pursuit of my rightness. ?I can choose to react in humility rather than pride." |
| Challenge: |
| "If a conflict arises with my husband today, purposely choose the path of peace. This is a choice I can make, even if I think I am right." |
| Prayer: |
| "Oh Lord, fill me with your Spirit today; this is a hard challenge for me. ?I know that I am only capable of making this choice as you produce the Fruit of your Spirit in my life; Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control." |
