Proverbs 4:5
~ ""Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them."" |
| Thought: |
| "Remember the source of all wisdom is God and what He has revealed to us in His Word, the Bible. Then, as his child, the Holy Spirit gives us understanding. ?Everything we need to know about how to be a good, loving wife and mother, is found in the whole counsel of God. ?But this means that we must know it, at least read it... better yet, study it." |
| Challenge: |
| "Prioritize Bible study (if I am not in one, find one!!). ?In addition, get on a program to read through the Bible in a year, this way I will gain the perspective of the whole Bible. ?If I cut out one TV program a day, I have time for all this. ?Prioritize, ?with wisdom!" |
| Prayer: |
| "Lord, help me to prioritize time with You; ?reading and studying Your Word and spending time in prayer. Show me the reading program that I can use so that I may take in the whole counsel of God ?and help me to consistently set aside the time to do it. ?Then Lord, as I put in the time, will You help me remember what I have read and studied." |
