Proverbs 5:2
~ ""My son, pay attention to my wisdomthat you may maintain discretion."" |
| Thought: |
| "Discretion: 'showing discernment and good judgment in conduct and speech'. ?I walked across the high school campus today and heard every word under the sun! ?What a temptation our children face in their conduct and speech, as they long to be accepted." |
| Challenge: |
| "When I dialogue with her about the trappings of peer pressure, I must be careful not to push her away. Then she will be willing to pay attention when we talk, grow in wisdom and not just get defensive." |
| Prayer: |
| "Lord, help me to choose the time and place carefully, when I talk about peer pressure issues. Please help me to do it in a way that engages her and does not make her defensive. ?Oh Lord, let her love for You be so much bigger than her desire to be accepted by others." |
