Proverbs 7:2
~ "Keep my commands and you will live." |
| Thought: |
| "It is in doing life Gods way that we truly live. Jesus said He came to give us life that was abundant. He also said, If you love me, obey my commands. ?I not only desire to communicate these principles to my children, but I want them to see me living them out in my life." |
| Challenge: |
| "Remember to share with my children, not only the decisions I make, but how I came to that decision. ?Help them to understand how the commands and principles in the Bible actually apply to real life decisions. ?Help them to recognize that it is love for God that gives me the desire to obey Him." |
| Prayer: |
| "Lord, help me to be more intentional as I live life in front of my children. ?Remind me to take the extra step of communicating Your truths, commands and principles to my children as I apply them to my life. ?Lord, dont let me forget to include Your love for us and our love for You as the reason for obedience. I dont want them to think that Christianity is merely about obeying rules, but let them understand through my example that it is about a relationship with You." |
