Proverbs 13:4
~ ""The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied."" |
| Thought: |
| "Gods Work Ethic: work hard, be diligent and there will be satisfaction. ?The sluggard obviously wants satisfaction as well but is not willing to do anything about it. ?My concern in this principal is that I want my desires to be Gods desires for me and I know that I can easily run off in my own direction before even checking in to make sure that I am running in His direction." |
| Challenge: |
| "Dont make assumptions about Gods plans and will. ?I must continually ask God if I am headed in the right (His!) direction; loving Him, worshipping Him and serving Him as He desires. ?Seek Him daily in prayer and in His word, above all, take the time needed to listen to Him." |
| Prayer: |
| "Lord, make Your will and leading plain to me, I do not want to expend time and energy, diligently working toward my own desires and will if they are not Yours. ?Lord, please stop me in my tracks when I go off in my own direction, and turn me around. ?I ask that You completely conform my desires so that they line up with Yours, I know that is the only way that I will be fully satisfied." |
