Proverbs 21:8
~ ""The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright."" |
| Thought: |
| What do I do when mothers intuition is telling me something is amiss? I have to consistently investigate and get to the truth. ?I hope and pray that my children will not get so good at being bad that they become devious and deceptive. ?I somehow need to make sure that they will continue to (and want to) tell me the truth. |
| Challenge: |
| "In addition to disciplining for bad choices, for covering up bad behavior and lying, I need to make sure that I affirm and reward ?the truth, ?making good choices and doing the right thing. I also need to make sure that the consequences for doing something wrong and then lying to try to escape discipline will always have a harsher outcome than coming clean immediately." |
| Prayer: |
| "Father, You are my best source of mothers intuition. ?You know all and see all. ?Lord, as my children make bad choices (as they inevitably will) please bring them out to me immediately. ?Please let anything done in secret be brought out in the open as only You can. Lord help me choose the right consequence, give me the wisdom I need for each child, they are so different. ?And then Father, give me the energy it takes to not only punish the bad, but the extra energy it takes to affirm the good." |
